Technical FAQ
Documentation regarding operational security, payment protocols, and platform policies.
01 // Access & Verification
Nexus Market Access serves as the verified entry point for the Nexus Market infrastructure. We maintain an updated registry of cryptographically signed .onion mirrors, ensuring users can establish a secure connection to the marketplace. This static resource facilitates safe navigation and prevents connection errors.
Access requires the Tor Browser to resolve .onion top-level domains. For optimal security, we recommend disabling JavaScript or setting the security slider to 'Safer'. Always utilize the verified mirrors listed on our index page, which are regularly audited for uptime and cryptographic integrity.
Authenticity is validated via PGP signature verification. Upon accessing the login portal, the server presents a signed message. Users should verify this signature against the official Nexus public key (available on the Links page) to confirm the server's identity. This process guarantees you are connected to the genuine Nexus infrastructure.
02 // Security Protocols
Nexus Market employs defense-in-depth strategies including mandatory PGP 2FA for vendors, optional 2FA for buyers, logic-based CAPTCHAs, and proprietary anti-DDoS mitigation. All sensitive user data, including delivery addresses, is encrypted at rest using industry-standard algorithms.
Account recovery is strictly limited to ensure user privacy. You must possess the mnemonic seed phrase provided during registration or have a verified PGP key attached to your profile. Without one of these authentication methods, password resets are mathematically impossible due to our database encryption.
No. The core functionality of Nexus Market is designed to operate without JavaScript. We strongly recommend disabling JavaScript in your Tor Browser settings (Security Level: Safest) to minimize the attack surface and prevent potential deanonymization exploits.
03 // Financial Infrastructure
Nexus supports Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), and Monero (XMR). Monero is the recommended standard for all transactions due to RingCT and stealth address protocols, which ensure complete sender/receiver privacy on the blockchain and prevent transaction graph analysis.
Walletless Pay (Direct Pay) eliminates the need to deposit funds into a central market wallet. Instead, a unique invoice address is generated for each specific order. Funds are sent directly to the escrow address, reducing custodial risk and exposure to market-held volatility.
Nexus charges zero deposit fees. A flat 1% fee is applied to withdrawals to cover network transaction costs and platform maintenance. Vendors are subject to a standard sales commission. Minimum withdrawal thresholds are dynamic, typically equivalent to $3 USD.
04 // Order Management
Nexus Market does not enforce a monetary vendor bond. Instead, we utilize a strict vetting process focusing on reputation, product quality, and operational history. This merit-based system allows established vendors from other platforms to migrate easily while maintaining high standards.
Escrow protects both parties by holding funds in a neutral state. For physical goods, the escrow period is typically 7-21 days. Funds are released to the vendor only upon buyer confirmation or timer expiration. Disputes pause the timer, initiating a moderator review of the transaction evidence.
We enforce strict ethical guidelines. Prohibited categories include CP, fentanyl/analogues, weaponry, explosives, poisons, and violence-for-hire services. The platform employs automated filtering and manual moderation to detect and ban non-compliant listings immediately.
Buyers may open a dispute within the escrow window if an order is undelivered or defective. This freezes the funds. The vendor and buyer communicate via the dispute center. If unresolved, a moderator intervenes, reviewing chat logs and shipping evidence to issue a binding decision.
05 // Support & Connectivity
Tor network latency or localized DDoS attacks can cause temporary connection failures. If a primary mirror is unresponsive, attempt connection via an alternative mirror listed on our Links page. We maintain redundant access points to ensure continuous availability.
Registered users can access 24/7 support via the internal ticketing system. For pre-registration inquiries or access issues, please refer to the Tutorial page. Support staff do not communicate via clear-web email or messaging apps.
